Jezebel in Greek means:  False doctrine

And they shall teach my people the difference between the holy and profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the cleanEzekiel 44:23.  [See below–discerning between good and evil]

Hebrews 5:12-14.

12 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food. 13 For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. 14 But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.  [See above teaching the difference between the holy and the profane]

Revelation 2:18-20.

18 “And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write,

‘These things says the Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and His feet like fine brass: 19 “I know your works, love, service, faith, and your patience; and as for your works, the last are more than the first.20 Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols.

1 Kings 21:1-7

21 And it came to pass after these things, that Naboth the Jezreelite had a vineyard, which was in Jezreel, hard by the palace of Ahab king of Samaria.

And Ahab spake unto Naboth, saying, Give me thy vineyard, that I may have it for a garden of herbs, because it is near unto my house: and I will give thee for it a better vineyard than it; or, if it seem good to thee, I will give thee the worth of it in money.

And Naboth said to Ahab, The Lord forbid it me, that I should give the inheritance of my fathers unto thee.

And Ahab came into his house heavy and displeased because of the word which Naboth the Jezreelite had spoken to him: for he had said, I will not give thee the inheritance of my fathers. And he laid him down upon his bed, and turned away his face, and would eat no bread.

But Jezebel his wife came to him, and said unto him, Why is thy spirit so sad, that thou eatest no bread?

And he said unto her, Because I spake unto Naboth the Jezreelite, and said unto him, Give me thy vineyard for money; or else, if it please thee, I will give thee another vineyard for it: and he answered, I will not give thee my vineyard.

And Jezebel his wife said unto him, Dost thou now govern the kingdom of Israel? arise, and eat bread, and let thine heart be merry: I will give thee the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite.

Here is the doctrine of Jezebel in verse 7, above.  “Aren’t you the King?  You have the rights to the kingdom; they belong to you.  Don’t let anything stop you from getting it.  Go your way, be happy, be glad.  I’ll (Jezebel) get it for you.  And for centuries the church of Jesus Christ has been preaching on the sufferings of the Lord Jesus Christ that we are to fill up.  Jesus said if you walk with Me you are going to suffer in this world.  He said to deny yourself and take up your cross and follow Me.  If any man loves the world and the things of this world  he is not of God.  Go put your eyes on the things of this world; and the church for centuries has been preaching that.  But in the last 20 years this prosperity came to America.  And we started having more and more things…We are starting to look at Naboth’s vineyard. There is something there.  He did not need it; he just wanted it.  And he dipped his heart.  And so a doctrine comes along that says “I will get it for you.”  Go ahead and clap and be happy.  You’re the king.  I am going to get your rights for you.   And that’s the basis of the doctrine of covetousness…It is is the land of America.  This doctrine of covetousness is the doctrine of Jezebel. It is a doctrine that says:  “I will get it for you.”…There is a nagging in the hearts of those who will not lay down their covetousness.  They are not willing to suffer for Christ.  They are not willing to pay the price.   And so, their doctrine is going to do it for them.  So you go ahead and eat, you rejoice and be happy.”  David Wilkerson  [to hear the full discussion of this doctrine go to]:

How Jezebel’s False Doctrine Distorts God’s Grace and Truth

How does one know that he is under false doctrine?

Godliness for gain; from such withdraw yourself

  1. […] Jude 1 Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called [here it covers many are called but few are chosen; they are chosen because they are going through sanctification]: 2 Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied. 3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints [notice they are no longer earnestly contending for the faith]. 4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness [cheap grace that Dietrich Bonhoeffer wrote about], and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. 5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt [1 Corinthians 10], afterward destroyed them that believed not. 6 And the angels [have only spirits, not souls—yet they left God] which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. 7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. 1 Corinthians 10:1-12 10 Moreover, brethren [believers], I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; 2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; 3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat; 4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. 5 But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown [the word is clear—they were okay initially] in the wilderness. 6 Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted. 7 Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play [having a great time—as David Wilkerson shows in his message*]. 8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand. 9 Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents. 10 Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer. 11 Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. 12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. * David Wilkerson – Jezebel [False Doctrine] https://jrichardduke.wordpress.com/2016/01/13/david-wilkerson-jezebel-false-doctrine/ […]
