Ecclesiastes 3
A Time for Everything
3 There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven—
2 A time to give birth and a time to die;
A time to plant and a time to uproot what is planted.
3 A time to kill and a time to heal;
A time to tear down and a time to build up.
4 A time to weep and a time to laugh;
A time to mourn and a time to dance.
5 A time to throw stones and a time to gather stones;
A time to embrace and a time to shun embracing.
6 A time to search and a time to give up as lost;
A time to keep and a time to throw away.
7 A time to tear apart and a time to sew together;
A time to be silent and a time to speak.
8 A time to love and a time to hate;
A time for war and a time for peace.

What I believe Solomon is saying here for the most part there is a positive time and there is a negative time. If you will look at all of these descriptions, a time to be born, a time to die, a time to plant, a time to pluck up that which has been planted. What I believe is happening because of this nation’s endless pursuit of sin, our endless pursuit of electing debased, debauched, lying, loathsome leaders, all of these times God has promised that we could have, we are no longer going to have, because knowing the time, it is high time that we awake out of sleep. Romans 13:11. “And that knowing the time, that there was high time to wake out of sleep, for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Let us therefore cast off the works of darkness. Let us put on the armor of light. Let us walk honestly as in the day, not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness. Not in strife and envy. But put you on the Lord Jesus Christ and make not provision for the flesh to fulfill the lusts thereof.”

Notice what Paul said: and that knowing the time… The problem with most people today and these lifeless, listless, worthless preachers have no understanding of the time. You have heard me talk about karios (quality time). Chronos is the succession of time, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. Karios is a divine appointed time when foreordained event must come to pass. You can’t praise it away, you can’t fast it away, there is nothing you can do. It is going to come. Galatians 4:4. “But when the fullness of time was come, God sent forth His Son made of a woman, born of the law, to redeem Himself unto the law so that we might receive the adoption of sonship. The fullness of that time had come from the prophecy in Genesis 3:15: “I will put enmity between thee and the woman, between thy seed and her seed. He shall bruise thy head, thou shalt bruise his heel.” Four thousand years. That is a long time for a man, but if you look at what Peter said, one day with the Lord is as a thousand years, and a thousand years are as one day. That was only four days for God. But when the fullness of that time had come, God sent forth His Son.
“Now what is happening is we are coming to the fullness of time of judgment. See, there is an appointed time of judgment. Even Paul stated in Hebrews 9:27: It is appointed unto man once to die; after this the judgment.

We have entered into a time of judgment.

Back to the beginning about wimp preachers:

Preachers are not preachers; they are wimps, they are weenies. They have no Holy Ghost backbone and they have no Word of God in their lives, and the tragedy is they are not warning the people. Isaiah 58:1. “Cry aloud, spare not.” He said spare not. That means you don’t give anybody any special consideration. “Spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet and show My people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.” Judgment is just going to increase. Even the seven trumpets. Those are judgment trumpets. And they only get worse, they don’t get better. And yet you have every preacher for the most part, all they are telling you is how to get more money, how to find the seven steps to a better you. What about the seven steps to get closer to Jesus Christ? Forget you, forget me. We are all going to stand before the bema seat of God or the great white throne judgment. It’s your choice.”
