Note the words of Jesus regarding the Kingdom:
17 For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see these things [kingdom of heaven] which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.
11 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power. [They witnessed this in 70 AD WHEN THE TEMPLE AND BABYLON WERE DESTROYED]
15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte [convert], and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves. [Convert: salvation [soul]—Savior/the gospel/blood; Kingdom [spirit]—King/the gospel of the Kingdom/breath] Only God can prepare men’s hearts for salvation, hence this is God’s responsibility. Man wants to take over the responsibility of God and “get people saved” and even count the number saved. Man does NOT have the responsibility to get people saved [because he can’t] but man elevates himself by giving himself the authority to get people saved—hence the verse of Matthew 23:15. If one does not have the responsibility for something he DOES NOT have the authority to act. The great commission is about the Kingdom/and disciples (not salvation and the saving of the lowly soul).
1In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,
2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
16 The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.
17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
3 To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:
Seek first the Kingdom (gospel of the Kingdom), not the gospel (salvation). Matthew 6:33.
Dr. Gary North, Priorities and Dominion: An Economic Commentary on Matthew
- The Centrality of God’s Kingdom
Jesus made it clear that seeking God’s kingdom is priority number
one for the individual. Most people today and in the past have not ac-
knowledged this fact, not even to themselves. They suppress the truth
that their own nature and the creation reveal about God (Rom. 1:18–25).
This does not mean that Jesus was wrong about mankind’s top
priority. It means only that most men are in rebellion against God.
Evangelical Christians too often believe that God’s top priority is
the salvation of men. This is a man-centered viewpoint, a kind of bap-
tized humanism for Christians. It makes them think that they are the
center of God’s concern. They are not. God is the center of God’s con-
cern. (SEE BELOW FOR CONFIRMATION OF THESE WORDS AS WELL AS MATTHEW 23:15, ABOVE):
We have often heard Matthew 5:17 (see below) but rarely, if ever, hear Matthew 5:18 (see below):
17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.
18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Matthew 5:17-18.
We have only been taught verse 17 but not followed by verse 18. By teaching only verse 17, what we have been taught is misleading. Note that when verse 18 is read, one sees that if heaven and earth have not passed, then not one jot or tittle from the law has passed; AND WE ARE STILL UNDER THE LAW—AND JESUS DIED AND WAS RESURRECTED FOR NO REASON. This is talking about SPIRITUAL HEAVEN AND EARTH.
Now note these verses:
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. (WHAT “END”? THE END OF TIME? NO. CONTINUE READING. IT IS THE END OF THE LAW!)
OPEN YOU BIBLE AND READ MATTHEW 24:25-33.
34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
NOW READ VERSE 35!!!
35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. AGAIN THIS REFERS TO SPIRITUAL HEAVEN AND EARTH.
Jesus fulfilled the law and the prophets and HE ESTABLISHED HIS KINGDOM INSIDE OF US. SEE BELOW—
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
Colossians 1:23, 26-27.
23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel [note the two verses below because it is the gospel of the kingdom, not just the gospel], which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;
26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints [a defined word in the Bible]:
27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory [the Kingdom of Jesus inside us]: Colossians 1:26-27.
WE ARE INEFFECTIVE BECAUSE WE ARE WAITING ON JESUS TO RETURN PHYSICALLY. BUT HE ESTABLISHED HIS KINGDOM INSIDE OF US IN 70 AD WHEN THE TEMPLE WAS DESTROYED [THE END] AND SPIRITUAL HEAVEN AND EARTH PASSED AND THE SPIRIT OF JESUS RETURNED—SO THAT HE COULD BE INSIDE OF US.
ABOVE THIS QUESTION WAS ASKED: WHAT “END”? THE END OF TIME? NO. CONTINUE READING. IT IS THE END OF THE LAW! READ THE NEXT PARAGRAPH.
THE TEMPLE HAD TO BE DESTROYED IN 70 AD–A HISTORICAL FACT. WHY? ANSWER: AS LONG AS PEOPLE WORSHIPED IN A PHYSICAL TEMPLE BUILT BY MAN, THEY INDIVIDUALLY COULD NOT FULFILL THE HIDDEN MYSTERY OF ALL AGES AND GENERATIONS: CHRIST IN YOU!)
UNTIL THE 1830s, THIS [SPIRITUAL HEAVEN AND EARTH PASSED AWAY SO THAT JESUS COULD ESTABLISH HIS KINGDOM INSIDE US–Christ in you] WAS TAUGHT AND BELIEVED. The kingdom is not inside a building but inside of us–the gospel of the kingdom, where Jesus is King. The physical temple had to be destroyed so that we could receive His kingdom inside of us and further His Kingdom as a soldier in His army. The physical temple was destroyed so that we as persons can receive the Kingdom inside of us from having “Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
We must examine ourselves:
Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? 2 Corinthians 13:5.
