Church and State

The belief that government was “ordained” or created by God as a counterbalance to human shortcomings, has been almost universal in Christian circles of all denominations. However, to varying degrees around the world, the end result has been a church-state “complex” and with it, an enormous moral and spiritual blind spot.”  

In addition, this doctrine has been a distraction from the real task of extending the Kingdom of God through individuals from within [Christ in you, the Kingdom of God–Colossians 1:26-27]. Instead, enormous effort is expended trying to fix or become a part of earthly government systems, in the vain hope that this will save the world from problems and make people better through external control.”
