A post regarding cheap grace and the once saved, always saved doctrine…
“We’ve taken the Cross out of salvation and offered its benefits.” This [taking the cross out of salvation and bragging about all the things that we are doing for God because He blessed us] is the Jezebel doctrine [means false doctrine in Greek]—godliness for gain; and the Bible says” From such withdraw yourself. 3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness [the doctrine of God our Savior Jesus Christ–Titus 2]; Jezebel in Greek means false doctrine–see below.
4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself. 1 Timothy 6:3-5
God’s Doctrine of hierarchy, the violation of which is blasphemy; doctrine of God our Savior Jesus Christ (Denying ungodliness, going through sanctification and living a sober life)
Mark 10:17-21 – READ THIS CAREFULLY!
17 Now as He was going out on the road, one came running, knelt before Him, and asked Him, “Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?” [HE DID NOT ASK WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED BECAUSE THE SOUL IS SAVED BUT IT IS THE SPIRIT THAT MUST LIVE]
18 So Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God.
19 You know the commandments: ‘Do not commit adultery,’ ‘Do not murder,’ ‘Do not steal,’ ‘Do not bear false witness,’ ‘Do not defraud,’ ‘Honor your father and your mother.’”[a]
20 And he answered and said to Him, “Teacher, all these things I have kept from my youth.” LAW
21 Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow Me.
We have replaced grace with law; the same as happened in Galatians 3:1-10.
